This team facilitates the financing of commodity- and structured-trade-related transactions using tailormade solutions for its clients. The experienced London team is able to support clients from various industries from production through to delivering to end-buyers. Its focus is on bilateral deal origination with manufacturers, small and mid-sized traders and larger traders who are active in African business, concentrating on the following STCF transactions:
- Financing the physical flow of commodities at all stages, ie preproduction, production, preexport, in-transit, in-warehouse/in-storage and receivables stages.
- Bilateral or club-based lending.
The London team has direct links to the South African team, which has a specific focus on the following industries:
- Oil and gas
- Metals and minerals
- Soft commodities and others
